The Chemistry Division is a research forum for academic staff members in the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, as well as for research scientists, postdocs and graduate students employed by the Science Institute.
Research in the chemistry division includes theoretical chemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organometallic chemistry and organic chemistry. New organic and inorganic chemicals are being synthesized, the properties of molecules and ions measured by the use of various spectroscopic techniques and computer calculations used to predict atomic scale structure and mechanism of transitions.
